TB Joshua, When Will CrunchyApple Hammer?

Prophet TB Joshua has slowly carved a niche for himself in the area of prophesy. While other spiritual leaders are doing what they do best, TB Joshua is becoming more popular with his various prophesies in the area of football and politics.

I learnt Al- Mustapha paid him a visit immediately he was acquitted and I hear he claims to have prophesied Mustapha’s release. Anyway, methinks it’s about time he delves into fortune telling and I’d like to consult him and find out when I’ll hammer.

If given the chance, would you like to consult him too? And what would you want him to foretell?

  2. I'm not and will NEVER be interested in fortune tellers because God has expressed his displeasure in such things. The future belongs only to him. For reference please look up the bible book of Leviticus 19:31 and also Acts 16:16-18 where Paul cast out the demon that made it possible for a certain girl to predict the future

  4. CrunchyApple, I think you are undeniably spot on.
If God condemms fortune-telling, enchantments, divinations, predictions or whatever as referenced by Ojay, does that applies to football/politics? Just curios.

  7. Prophesy is not same with fortune telling. In as much as God can talk to anyone God still have His prophets........

  8. Miracle could you please go to 1Coronthians 13: 8&9?? Talks about prophesy. God has revealed all that he intends to reveal in the bible and just a few are yet to come to pass which mostly are in Revelation. The same bible tells us that the things in the open are for us and the things not revealed are for God. To buttress my point on telling the future please read Isaiah 8:19 and Deautronomy 18:10 & 11

    1. ‘Ojay’, There is great difference from a fortune teller (as in enchantment, divination, predictions etc.) and a prophet.
Quoting 1Corinthians 13:8-9 is totally out of context in this debate. That quote is and should be used to emphasis that one who love is better that one who prophesy and doesn’t have love.
In as much as I do not ascribe to predictions of TBJ, GOD still reveals his plans to his servants, for He has said in His word - Amos 3:6-8 (…… Surely the Lord God does nothing; Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets… The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy?).
That He reveals His secrets to His prophets to this day is true and confirmed by Jesus Christ and through the apostles.
Jesus said in John 16:12-15(“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.)
If you take a step back from your quotation to chapter 12 (1 Corinthians 12) it talks about spiritual gifts from GOD. From verses 4 to 11 it specifies the gifts, of which the gift of prophecy is one them (check out verse 10). So saying GOD has stopped revealing His intends is wrong. Also moving forward in chapter 14 (1 Corinthians 14:26-31) her we are being taught how orderly the Church meetings should be, and in verse 29, it is explained how orderly prophesy should be proclaimed in the Church.
But that some people misuse these scriptures to deceive others is another thing altogether. So there are still prophets of GOD and we know they are also false prophets. But the word of GOD said we should test every spirit, and this is what everyone should do on his or her own. To be able to do this, one should self read the bible to be sure of what GOD has said, what GOD is saying, His attributes, etc and not be deceived by others.
