Re: Oral Sex,African Diaspora And Issues Arising

I read Paul Omoruyi’s article on diasporascope on the above subject matter and these were my deductions:

  1. Most sexually active people in the United States engage in oral sex.
  2. Oral sex is more pleasurable than genital penetration.
  3. Majority of African men shun oral sex based on religious or cultural grounds.
  4. African men who engage in oral sex are considered weak.
  5. Majority of the men who even engage in oral sex tend to deny their involvement in public.
  6. Many African men who are either involved with or married to non African women  are practically coaxed into doing it just to keep their relationships.
  7. African women who normally would want oral sex are too shy to ask for it so as not to be labeled  “spoilt” or “sexually perverted” thereby ruining their relationships.
  8. Older Africans both men and women frown at it, not for any scientific reason but for the fact that their parents told them it was wrong.

Now here are my questions begging for answers:

  1. Do you think any of the above assumptions are wrong or right?
  2. Considering the recent news that oral sex causes a strain of HPV [Human Papillomavirus], would you still want to go “down south”?
  3. Do you think for some reason, the bible or our cultures per say knew the implications hundreds of years ago?
  4. Do you think the African men who like the article stated are practically forced into oral sex by their non African women would still want to go down south considering the health implications at the risk of losing their women?

  4. @ Aitan....the health issues are clear. The individual whose mouth is being used stand the chance of infection, which by nature of the network of blood vessels in the mouth and the thin membrane covering the inner part of the mouth, these organisms can go to other sites such as the heart and brain among others and can cause some serious damage. HIV transmission is known to occur that way too the dilenma is worsend by poor oral hygiene and if you decide to use mouth wash, it has it's attendant problems. Provision is better than kiosk...did I say that?......Prevention is better and cheaper than cure......medically proven.

  6. @Halal'z- Medically proven by you abi. On average, the mouth contains more germs than the private area. STDs are another thing entirely, I could equally say that you wouldn't want to kiss someone with a terrible mouth infection. As long as the partners are free of STDs, there's absolutely nothing wrong.

  8. So far as it gives pleasure to both partners, I don't see any thing bad in it. Couples should find out and know what trips their partners. As for me I AM AN ADEPOJU!

  9. There is nothing wrong with oral sex as long as the area is kept neat, I didn't mean douching, proper hygiene. It is also considered to be the spice of love making. Do note also that is allowed only if you are married to avoid nonsense.

  10. Anal sex is known to be the cause of most strange sexually transmitted diseases today how can you "poop in the same plate you eat from"? Translation: how can you insert the same penis in the anus, collect all the fecal rubish, insert same into the vagina and then do both felatio and cunninlingus??? You might as well go into the toilet and help yourself with fresh servings! Oral sex, as long as it doesn't involve planet urANUS, is pleasurable and healthy...A FEW GROUND RULES: play gentle. Keep the teeth away. If you tear or cut something and blood come out, anything you get, accept with thansgiving...lol

  14. I've recently started a relationship with a black Kenyan woman (I'm a white English man). She really doesn't like me going down on her. Which is a real shame. She orgasms extremely quickly. I'm used to taking my time and enjoying the foreplay. She wants to just get the sex over and done with. She enjoys it (I think). She wants it a lot (which is an interesting change to "sorry darling, I've got a headache tonight").

I think oral sex is VERY intimate. Something which I like receiving as well as giving. I'm not exactly sure if she is just shy or has some other issue. Hopefully, she'll start to enjoy it.
