Cheating used to be a man thing, when the excitement is gone and even if they are in a steady relationship, the hunt must continue. These days, the ground has been leveled and the women no longer sit tight and take whatever is dished out, So we've been hearing a lot of men crying foul!

Just to help the menfolk evaluate their situation, here's a list of why women cheat and how to go about handling this development.

 

•   Lack / Fear Of Intimacy

If she's been toying with the idea of a walk down the aisle but you're still not commiting, then chances are she might start searching for a new candidate. Of course, on the off chance that you're pressuring her into marriage before she's ready, she may just seek the comfort of a casual acquaintance. The basic principle is that you're both not on the same page.

Solution: Communicate. Be honest about where you stand, and if you notice that the two of you aren't on the same level when it comes to commitment, be honest with yourselves and come to a realistic conclusion.

• You Change Drastically

 You used to be nicer, but now everything seems to irritate you. You used to have a six-pack, but now all you do is drink them. You get lazy, you stop trying to impress her and you no longer take care of yourself. Suddenly, the houseboy or driver looks hotter...

Solution: Don't let yourself go. You are allowed a modicum of comfort in a relationship, but don’t forget to keep fit.

•   Someone's Giving Her More Attention

If you've ever seen the movie Unfaithful, you'd know that sometimes women cheat simply because something tempting came along. Maybe she's bored in the relationship, maybe she happens to bump into "Mr. Perfect." Whatever the case, sometimes timing is everything.

Solution: She's restless and starts hunting for excitement. This is difficult to resolve. Keep the communication lines open.You need to find a way to make things exciting for her again, even if you don't agree that the relationship has become stagnant.

• You Cheated On Her

If you've ever strayed on your woman, prepare yourself for the worst.

This is not to say that all women who have been cheated on will seek revenge, but most feel as though they have a "free pass” and this pass can be used anytime.

Solution: This one's easy -- don't cheat. But in the off chance that you already have, and are certain that you will not do it again, you have to constantly reassure her that you're not up to anything in order to regain her trust. And if you notice that she flirts more often with other guys or starts treating you badly, then perhaps you should consider moving on.

• She's Just Rotten

Women complain that all men are pigs, but there are a couple of female pigs too.

If you are dating one of these kinds of women, walk away, and if not, then double date.
